ApplicationJob Description

The Subs

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Steel studs are going up, insulation is being installed and the fire sprinkler system is almost finished. All of the sub contractors have been working very hard and everyone is excited to be a part of the project. John Bauknight, the project manager, was so pleased with the progress that he hosted the first BBQ at movement last Friday for all the workers. We would like to thank Lefever Building Systems, Freedom Fire Protection, South Valley Drywall, and RG Insulation for putting in the extra effort.

Here is a photo essay with some voice-over of the current status of the project.

enRoute

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Rockwerx sent us pictures of the steel structure for the climbing walls that are headed our way. The crew will arrive ahead of the steel shipment to start laying out the walls and preparing for the over-sized delivery. Rockwerx prefabricates their walls to make the on-site construction as smooth and quick as possible. If time permits, they will go as far as building an entire section of wall, including pre-cutting the plywood as seen in the picture below. Walls will start going up this week!

The Last Slab

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

We finished pouring our last indoor concrete slab this week! You are now able to walk on all levels and floors of the building. The schedule is set for Rockwerx to arrive next week and begin construction of the climbing walls. The roof is complete and the south facade will be installed soon. After that, the building will be dried-in and we will then begin the interior finishes.
Keep an eye on the property because the pace is only going to get quicker as we get closer to Opening Day!

Working at movement

Movement is beginning the interview and hiring process in the coming weeks. We will dedicate a specific post to announce when we are ready to accept applications. In the meantime, if you have questions about employment, please email info@movementboulder.com.
